  I have tried their super burrito and nachos (chicken and steak) and they are both delicious. Chips and salsa bar are great too. The onion salsa is awesome. I could eat a plate of that alone. I also love that they help feed those in need and we make it a point every time that we go that we buy a meal for the board for someone who is hungry.

  Came here on Friday night and ordered our food to-go. My boyfriend got a chicken super burrito (wet style). I got a 2 crispy taco plate, which comes with rice and refried beans. We only live 5 min away and the tacos were super soggy and fell apart completely. I got one with chicken and the other with carne asada. Both meats did not taste right... no flavor, no grilled taste, and just not very good at all. Even though I got 2 different meats, it was so bad that I honestly couldn't distinguish the 2 by taste. My boyfriend felt the same way about his burrito- it was just okay. Very underwhelmed.
  
  The reason I'm giving it 3 stars vs. a lower rating is because we've been here many times and the food is usually a lot better. I'm not sure if if it was an off night or something, but we've never had an issue with the quality of food before.
  
  We may come back here again and give it another shot but it may take a little time to get over this experience..

  Great spot for Mexican food!!  The food was delicious and it was a great deal.  We tried a variety of meats and the pastor was a favorite.  It was tender with so much flavor.  
  
  The Super Quesidilla was gigantic!!  My son loved it.  It was filled with everything he likes-cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream, guacamole and pastor.  It looked like a burrito.
  
  My taco salad with bbq chicken was so good.  I would order it with out the shell next time.  The shell makes for a pretty presentation, but I prefer their crunchy chips from the salsa bar.  
  
  My husband's meat plate was a great deal and he really enjoyed it.  He had 50/50 chili verde and pastor.  It was served with rice, beans, cheese, sour cream and guacamole.  It also came with a fountain drink.
  
  My youngest ordered the super taco with carnitas.  I thought the carnitas was just ok and a little dry.  My son ate everything with lots of chips!
  
  Amazing salsa and chip bar!!  The chips were thick and crispy.  We enjoyed the variety of salsas and vegetables.  Our favorite was the green tomatillo salsa.  It had the best flavor with a spicy kick.
  
  We'll definitely be back when we want Mexican food!

  Two Amigos.  Gotta love the bilingual name.  Not Dos Amigos or Two Friends, or even Dos Friends......  The name fits their authenticity and the food will leave you wanting more.  I came here with a group in search of the best "Al Pastor Tacos" in the east bay.   Our expert guide explained the history behind the Al Pastor meat, how it originated in the middle-east, and how it evolved in Mexico.    This is now my go to place in the tri-valley for tacos.
  
  Tucked into a small strip mall near a gas station, a McDonald's, and a Taiwanese cafe, Two Amigos cranks out flavorful varieties of authentic street tacos and tostadas.  Note the donation board where you can buy lunch for the needy.  A very nice touch.
  
  Ceviche' Tostada (5 stars) -  Crispy tostada loaded with limey fish and seafood.  Slight sweetness, but cool and delicious on a hot day.  Note that they will often run out of Ceviche' later in the day so arrive early to get some.
  
  Shrimp tacos (4 stars) - Nice grilled shrimp with a slight smoky flavor.  
  TIP: Ask for the shrimp to be only lightly cooked.
  
  Chili Relleno Plate (4 stars) - One of the bigger chili's you'll see stuffed with cheeses and a moderate batter and fry.  Rice and beans were light and just right.  
  
  Meat tacos (5 stars) - The Al Pastor is smoky and seasoned.   It was our reason for even coming here and it delivered.   Carne Asada is good strips of beef, only occasional gristle and a bit greasy, which will leave small puddles on your tortillas.  The carnitas are only slightly crunchy but have good fried pork flavor.    
  TIP: Get a couple of three taco plates to share with your group.
  
  Salsa Bar - A couple of the things I look for in a Salsa Bar include (1) how well attended its (cleanliness, replenishment, etc.), and (2) the variety of salsa and sides.   2 Amigos does both extremely well.  They keep the salsas and chips filled and clean, and also have loads of pickled vegetables.  One of my pet peeves is when a salsa bar runs out of pickled carrots or onions, and 2 Amigos has always had loads every time I've been there.  They also keep have a nice balance of salsas from the cilantro verde to the volcanic orange sauce, and the chips are fresh, crispy, and plentiful.
  
  Service - Friendly informed polite. On one visit they brought us a plate that was supposed to be our chili relleno, but after a few bites we figured out it was an enchilada plate.  They promptly brought our correct order and though I insisted on paying for the enchiladas (delicious and we ate it all!) they would not accept.  So I tacked a receipt onto their board so that someone in need could get a meal in the future.  I like that they have this available.
  
  Two Amigos is one of those places that gets you hooked wanting to try everything on the menu.   After multiple visits I've enjoyed every variety of taco, but I still haven't had one of their burritos......   so will have to come back.

  When it comes to quality vs quantity, I usually lean quality. But when the amount of food I receive at a restaurant is the size of a mountain, I can't say no to that!
  
  On Saturday, my girlfriend and I stopped by Two Amigos Mexican Taqueria on our way home from the Livermore Outlets. It was only 15 minutes away from the shopping area, and the views seemed pretty solid. It was either this or Los Pericos, but we've already been to the Santa Cruz location so Two Amigos it was!
  
  Two Amigos was your standard Taqueria with the usual taco options, tortas, quesadillas, burritos, and plates. Prices here were very affordable, and the plates came with a free fountain drink (yay horchata!). The salsa bar was pretty large and chips were free as well.
  
  My girlfriend and I ended up getting a large meat plate with al pastor and a carne asada super burritos. Overall, food was surprisingly good and PLENTIFUL! My girlfriend really enjoyed her burrito. It was delicious, the ingredients were fresh, and she had no complaints. I, too, loved my gigantic meat plate. It had a large helping of beans, a hill of pork, and plenty of sour cream to go around. Plus, I got like 5-6 tortillas. Although I wished that I got more rice, and though the meat was tasty the marinade got old fast. Nevertheless, plenty of food for two decently-sized meals.
  
  In addition, I actually enjoyed the horchata! It was tasty, not too sweet, and can't complain since it came with my plate. As for the salsa bar, stick with the green tomatillo. Everything else, including the red sauce and the salsa, were pretty bland.
  
  So glad we stopped by Two Amigos Mexican Taqueria instead of like Chipotle or another similar fast food chain inside the outlets. This gem wasn't bad and there was enough food to go around! I give it a "Nice-su, you can take your parents here and they'll be happy" rating.
